YUM- not YAM! Enjoy these guilt-free "fries" that are filled with nutrients.
I use a fairly large Sweet Potato so 1 should be enough for 2-4 ppl
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Thoroughly wash before using.
I make “sticks”, so first cut the ends off and then cut it in half (at the round middle point) and then in half again (lengthwise).
Depending on the thickness you then might have to cut it again lengthwise (I usually do), and then at this point you should have a bunch of thin enough slices to make sticks.
You can cut them smaller again if you need to.
Place in a large bowl.
Toss with enough Extra Virgin Olive Oil to coat
Sprinkle with:
Garlic Powder
Paprika
Turmeric
I like more Paprika than the others, and Turmeric is a wonderful spice with terrific anti-inflammatory properties. You won’t even notice it’s in here, except that it does have a tendency to turn pans and utensils a kind of orange hue, so clean up right after using to prevent any staining.
Make about 3 passes with each spice, tossing well after each pass
Spread sticks evenly on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes and YUM!
WHY EAT SWEET POTATOES?
They're loaded with beta carotene, which functions as a potent antioxidant and a rich source of Vitamin A which helps to speed up healing, prevent breakouts and support the skin's immune system and it promotes natural moisturizing
